Greetings to Our Valuable Customers,
This is our first Newsletter for 2020; since our last publication in November 2019, there have been several worldwide developments, with the main one being the emergence of the COVID-19 pandemic. The pandemic has adversely affected our world economies and greatly impacted our lives. At MSD, we are doing well; Team MSD is presently at full strength to provide you with the quality service that you have come to expect from us over the years. Thus, remaining true to our brand promise “Committed to Customer Satisfaction, Software Excellence & Integrity”.
In order to support you, we have had to change our internal processes. For instance, more than 90% of our staff members are working remotely from home supporting you. We have made resources available to some members of staff so that they can work effectively from home; however, the majority of our team did not hesitate to utilize their resources in order to support you – for this we are very grateful. During this pandemic period, we have asked you to reach out to us via the OSS, emails or chat groups; in case of emergencies, we have provided you with hotline numbers. These measures only serve to reinforce our commitment to serving you.
At MSD, we are constantly working to bring to you and your members latest technology driven solutions into your environment. At present we are working with several third parties to provide automated payment solutions, as well as an international card payment solution in all the countries in which our customers operate. We are also currently working on a new version of our flagship Core Banking Software, Emortelle.
This new version of Emortelle when completed will offer several new features, it will be web-based, multilingual and with a redesigned fresh looking user interface. We will also be strengthening and improving our backend capabilities, thus, the application will be able to support multiple database types, (such as, Faircom, Oracle, MS SQL, MySQL, etc.). The new Emortelle software will be server driven, with minimal requirement on the client end (thus, there will be savings to companies, instead of rolling out high resource clients). This server driven approach will make processing faster and improve the user experience. The backend capabilities will also support database replication, as well as the ability to be hosted at the customer site or hosted in the cloud. It should be noted, the standard Emortelle functionality will remain the same; we are just improving the front end and back end aspects of the software. In the upcoming months, we will provide you with further information about the new software and its launch date.
We continue to pray for the successful end of this crisis and for the well being and safety of your staff, your members and your families.
We all have a part to play in the eradication of the COVID-19 virus, we have to practise good hygiene, by washing our hands frequently and not touching our faces, maintain our social distance from each other, stay indoors, follow our Governments directives and avoid panicking; if we follow these practices we will eradicate this virus.
