E-Banking

E-Banking: is an added feature \ module to our flagships products Emortelle and iBOS (called GIA).

Web Interface is a facility to allow users to access current financial data and perform a limited transaction set in the comfort of their home or office 24 hours each day.  The interface is a secured, interactive and dynamic window into your account information.
The requests may or may not be executed at once; this is based on the settings the organization chooses to implement. The system responds with a request reference number in the necessary areas, this number can then be used to reference the requests

Users are allowed to:

  • Login to the system – with a unique identifier and password
  • Change their password – with rules such as minimum characters, special characters, etc
  • Perform balance inquiries  – on specific or all accounts
  • Transfer funds – from between their account products
  • Perform member to member transfers – from their account to another member’s account
  • Bill payments - from their account using the organization website
  • Initial a loan application - Members must complete the Loan Application Form and submit for approval
  • Inquire on the status of requests - All requests that cannot be immediately handled by the system, are given reference number.
  • Request a Letter – by selecting the type of letter required and submitting for preparation.
  • Obtain Extended Statements- in one or all accounts; the Extended statement does not appear on the screen, but will be e-mailed to the member.
  • Obtain Quick Statements - in one or all account products
  • Cheque Request – Members may request cheque from their account products
  • Update Personal Information – Members are allowed to update \ change their personal information when necessary.

Interactive Voice Response

Interactive Voice Response (IVR): is an added feature \ module to our flagships products Emortelle and IBOS; IVR is a means of automating the retrieval of rudimentary information and it is a technology that has matured significantly since its introduction in the 1980s.

IVR is a generic term for systems that play voice messages in response to user requests. Both caller and system interact with and respond to each other - the system queries the caller about the desired action, and the caller responds. The system reacts to this response by routing the caller to another system or to a live operator or by sending a fax or electronic message to the caller and in some instances to a designated service representative or department.

Repetitive tasks in communicating, formatting, accessing information and routine requests for services or pricing information can be particularly problematic for high-growth companies that have little choice but to add more service personnel, pay overtime to existing service staff, or let service quality slide. With the introduction of IVR, its advantages become readily apparent:

Benefits of IVR
  • Reduces cost of human labor
Even very expensive, advanced systems incorporating voice recognition and text-to-speech capability can offer significant cost advantages over human labor.
  • Frees personnel to "work smarter”
IVR is ideal for automating repetitive tasks such as disseminating frequently required information, conducting a simple transaction, or routing a call to the correct party. Service personnel are thus free to perform more rewarding and important work. For example, an IVR system may give rudimentary customer information such as current account balances, allowing service agents to respond to more important work such as advising a customer on the best utilization of his/her resources.
  • Improves customer service
IVR machines can frequently offer faster access to information than human beings can. Callers can access the information they require and spend less time waiting for a live operator. IVR also helps to eliminate the possibility of human error in retrieving information. An IVR system will not erroneously swap digits when relaying an order number or reading an account balance.
  • Enhances human contact
An IVR system can be used to expedite aspects of the customer service functions, and the operator can respond to the customer inquiry armed with data about the caller. Coordinated "teams" of humans and machines are increasingly handling business communications in this manner.
  • Improves data access
By enabling access to information 24 hours a day, seven days a week, businesses can add value after regular business hours.
  • Programmable, Customizable, and Flexible
IVR can be customized with unique prompts for answers to be recorded. You can customize the voice and data prompts you use to suit your company. You can determine what kind of information you will capture, assign priority to your most valuable customers and plan the best use of your resources.

ATM Online

ATM Online (Supports ISO8583 Messaging standard): is an added feature \ module to our flagships products Emortelle and IBOS, it allows users to effectively manage the On-line ATM processing on the system.

Once this feature is turned on, the organization would be receiving transactions via ATMs and Point-Of-Sales system automatically and the members’ account would reflect this activity.

The ATM on-line processor is an authorizing and transaction-processing module designed to respond to electronic transaction requests from ATMs conforming to the ISO8583 financial messaging standard.

The on-line module requires no user input and produces no screen output, all output is stored in a log file. The module is invoked automatically as and when required, responds to requests and writes resulting transactions to Members Ledgers and General Ledgers.

The on-line module can handle multiple simultaneous requests from several ATMs and other Electronic Terminal Devices via an ISO conformant Switch.

The following considerations control the behaviour of the on-line module:
  • Only active cardholders are allowed to perform ATM transactions
  • Deposits are automatically placed on hold for the number of days as defined by the value of ATM Management Setup Controls
  • Transfers are allowed only if the following conditions are satisfied
    • Both accounts allowed transfers
    • The debit account must allow withdrawals
    • The credit account must accept deposits
  • Approved withdrawal and transfer transactions are stamped with a unique authorization code generated by the on-line module
  • All exceptions are written to the log file. The module may also be configured to write incoming and outgoing messages to the ATM log file
