Micro Software Designs Limited (MSD) is a dynamic, world-class provider of fully integrated real time on-line software solutions for the financial services sector. We operate in 13 countries in the Caribbean and Central America region. Incorporated in 1984, spanning over two decades of experience in supplying customized software solutions and consultancy services to some of the largest financial organizations in the region, we pride ourselves of being "Technology Driven, Customer Focused", "Committed to customer satisfaction, software excellence and integrity".

MSD employees are extensively trained to provide courteous service, timely and accurate solutions. Our top four positions have a combined total of more than100 years of computerized Credit Union expertize. This means clients are guaranteed a high standard of quality service backed by stability, and the knowledge that they are being served by a company with an in-depth understanding of international best practices in the Information Communication Technology [ICT] industry.

Our core customer base comprises over 130 financial institutions such as credit unions, micro finance lending agencies and other financial services organization, located throughout the English speaking Caribbean and Central American region.

We have met the complex needs of some of the region’s leading financial organizations by optimizing their front, middle and back office processes. With our software solutions, our clients’ needs have been comprehensively addressed with one fully integrated real time on-line solution. Track record working with other solution providers:

Micro Software Designs has worked with a number of solution providers to integrate several processes. Processes specific to the Jamaica environment are interaction directly with On-Line ATM's on the JET's (Banks ATM network) and CUET's (Credit Unions ATM network) ATM network. Similar solutions were provided in Grenada, Antigua and Barbuda, St. Vincent and Belize. We have also worked with the Intercommercial Bank in Trinidad, providing an interface which allows a number of credit unions the ability, to provide their membership access to designated accounts via the VISA credit card international network. An alliance was also formed between MSD, Transunion and a number of lending institutions, resulting in the seamless reporting of delinquent accounts from a centralized source.

We at MSD pride ourselves of having a dedicated, hard working and loyal team consisting of a divest mix of qualified, rounded, and highly trained professionals who are graduates and post-graduates in Information Technology and Business Administration, committed to achieving the company’s strategic objectives. As depicted in the staff loyalty matrix below, thirty three [33] percent of the total work force have been disbursing committed, and loyal service to our customers for a period in excess of ten [10] years. The market place in which we operate is highly competitive and very dynamic, consisting of a number of software providers competing for the same customer base, and market place attention. However, we at MSD believe that the high quality of our products, competence of our human resource, ability to anticipate our customers’ current and future technological needs, and the provision of superior customer service, are key factors, which aid in differentiating us from our competitors, resulting in our continued operational sustainability and market place dominance.
Market share / Countries in which we operate:
Our products are embraced by a diverse mix of customers operating within the financial services industry throughout a wide cross section of the English speaking Caribbean and Central American region. At present, our largest install base is in Trinidad and Tobago, followed by Jamaica, accounting for a market share of 47% and 53% respectively. When quantified within the markets we operate, in aggregate, our overall market share equates to 43%.
